Classes with kits available are designated with a + symbol.
All kits must be ordered by APRIL 1st. Contact the Stitchin' Post for order forms & pricing.

Classes run from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. Two numbers together indicate a two-day class.
All workshops are held at the Sisters High School.

Each workshop is coded by level of expertise: Beginning workshops are for people who have little or no experience with quiltmaking; Advanced Beginning workshops require you to have rotary cutter and piecing experience; Intermediate workshops require you to be comfortable doing your own interpretation of patterns/designs; and Advanced workshops require you to be comfortable with all levels of designing and creating quilts. Some classes require a specific book, pattern, or lab fee. These are listed at the bottom of the class description. (Note: If the name of the book/pattern or the author is not listed, then it is the same as the name of the class or teacher.)

LUNCHES
Daily lunches will be available to quilters at the school through the efforts of the staff at Ray’s Food Place.
Bagged lunches will be provided at the school Monday through Friday for $10 and must be pre-ordered. (Order your lunches on the registration form.)

Need to borrow a sewing machine for your classes at Quilter’s Affair? Morrow’s Sewing & Vacuum Center will have machines available for a $20/day rental fee.
Call Ed or Karen at 541-382-3882 after receiving your class confirmation to reserve a machine. Deadline for reservations is June 1.

Learn the fine points of machine appliqué, including perfect points, neat curves, and creative surface embellishments. This technique is the focus of the AQS book Stitched Raw Edge Appliqué, co-authored by Sue and Pat. Quality workmanship is the priority in this workshop!

Kathy will review machine appliqué, couching techniques and edge finishes, and will discuss working with clip-art and photographic images. This is a wonderful project for batiks, as their jewel tones lend themselves to this scrappy quilt. The block is an easy one and students will use cutting and piecing techniques to ensure an accurate block. The blocks will be set diagonally with surefire instructions on how to cut and piece the corner and side-setting triangles. There is also the opportunity to use some small blocks in the centers, instead of the half-square triangle blocks, making your quilt truly unique.
