DAYTIME LECTURE DEMONSTRATIONS

added to all Quilter's Affair Class Sign-ups.

An additional $10.00 fee will be charged for any

made after we have processed your initial registration.
Registering for a class online does NOT guarantee you will get a spot in the class--
all classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

At this time, all lectures, evening programs, and special events have openings.
Daytime Lecture Demonstrations are held on Thursday and Friday beginning at 9:00 am and 1:00 pm at the High School.
Time is allowed for questions after the presentation at these informative, large group sessions. |

QUILTERS’ PICNIC IN THE PARK

For this year’s picnic we will feature smoke-roasted and adobo-simmered pork with rolls, marinated vegetables, potato salad, and an array of finger-sized desserts from Tate & Tate Catering in Redmond.
Beer and Wine will be available for purchase.
A designated area will be set aside for the picnic, and tickets will be taken at the gate as you enter. Entertainment will be provided by local musicians. There will be no pre-reserved group seating for individual ticket purchases, but you are welcome to get in line early to save a table for other members of your group.

THE THEN & NOW OF AUSTRALIAN QUILTS

Kathy will discuss quilting in Australia with a focus on “Waggas” as the quintessential Australian quilts. They were made from wool, roughly pieced together, and stuffed with anything the homestead women could find–from blankets to underwear. Waggas were used to keep the drovers warm while riding the long paddocks.
Lecture visitors without picnic tickets are welcome to sit on either side of the stage. Look for signage. |

A self-guided tour through five gardens and/or
homes in and around Sisters. Quilts will be
displayed.
Sisters Garden
Club will be handling the ticket sales for the Tour.
Tickets ordered through the mail will be sent out
June 1st.
Tickets will also be sold at the Chamber
of Commerce and The Gallimaufry in June and
July.
Box lunches will no longer be available.

Guild leaders Alissa and Elizabeth share what’s happening in the modern quilting movement, and host a tour of beautiful quilts from around the country. Their lecture will get inside the design process and the visual elements of modern quilt design. In the walking tour, they will share their own work, collaborative projects from online quilting bees, and the QuiltCon touring show, which will include the category winners from this modern-focused quilt show. Have you read about modern quilting and wondered what all the fuss was about? This is a great chance to find out more about the process of modern quilt design and to see work from a wide variety of modern quilters. |
