Design a Tee Shirt Quilt

Bring your favorite collection of
themed tee shirts to class and Judy
will help you develop a personalized
plan for turning them into a
one-of-a-kind quilt or wall hanging. You will learn how
to prepare the tee shirts for use in your project. Judy
will give fabric suggestions to support your collection.
No construction will be done in class, but you will
leave with a design plan, the “how to” knowledge, and
the motivation to get your project started ASAP!

Cathedral Window Technique

Beverly will teach you the
traditional technique of creating
a Cathedral Window block. She
will then share ideas for how to use
the block to create an ornament, a tote, or something
fun to give as a gift. With some machine sewing and
some hand sewing, you will create something truly

Biscuit Basket

Using 2 ½” fabric strips and pre-cut strips of Craf-Tex, this woven basket is fun and easy to assemble.
Dawn will share her helpful tips for holding it all
together. Made with seasonal fabrics, the basket will
look great on your Thanksgiving table, holding greeting
cards at Christmas, or filled with Easter treats next
spring. For everyday use, this basket is just the right
size for storing sewing patterns, CDs and videos.

Contemporary Christmas Stocking*

Knit a Christmas stocking you design yourself!
Class will focus on color and design, to give your
stocking contemporary style. Students will learn how
to follow a chart, carry colors using the Fair Isle technique,
and duplicate stitch. Catherine will have image
charts available for design work.

Binding Techniques

Painted Canvas Tote Bag

Fancy this: a painted canvas
and fabric appliqué tote for groceries
or just for stuff! It is created by
painting on canvas and by adding bits of your
favorite fabrics, resulting in a unique carryall. We will
supply the canvas, paints, and brushes. You bring a
theme fabric with one or two coordinating fabrics, and
a sewing machine. Plan for a fun time!

Glorious Furrows

Glorious Furrows is a bright Log Cabin quilt,
inspired by a quilt in Kaffe Fassett’s book Quilt Romance.
Students will have the opportunity to use a
basic Log Cabin block and a bright fabric palette combined
in a stunning setting with a great finish. The
class sample is 54” x 64” and can easily be adjusted
for a larger size.

What are my Basic Sewing
Supplies (BSS)?
BSS includes sewing machine in good working
order, rotary cutter, cutting mat, ruler, scissors, tape
measure, pencil, pins, and seam ripper.
Class Registration Policies and
Procedures
The following applies to all classes offered in
this Class Schedule:
What do I need for class?
Each class has a Supply List. There may be
additional class costs for special sewing supplies,
such as freezer paper for a piecing class, special
templates, or rulers, etc. Fabric requirements will
be listed. Some classes require preparation prior
to your first class, e.g., pre-cutting fabric, bringing
design ideas, etc. Once you register for your class
and receive your Supply List, you will receive a
15% discount on all required supplies. To receive
the discount, you must have your Supply List with
you when you make your purchase.
Registration Procedures
Pre-registration and payment are required.
Register during our Fall/Winter Preview Party
and receive a 10% discount on the fee.
You may register by phone (541-549-6061)
or at the store. You receive a 10% discount any
time you register on-line at www.stitchinpost.
com/classes.html (sorry, discount does not apply
to Clubs, Workshops, Retreats and/or Special
Events).
Class Cancellation Policy
You must cancel at least TEN (10) DAYS prior
to the class for a full refund. If the Stitchin’ Post
cancels a class, you may take a store credit or
request a refund.
Sometimes We Cancel a Class…
On occasion we will cancel a class due to
insufficient enrollment. We make that decision
ten (10) days before the scheduled class. We
recommend that you call to confirm that the class
has met its minimum enrollment and will go on
as scheduled. The safest bet is to do your class
purchases within ten (10) days of the class date. |
