using a variety of
tools, including the highly recommended Perfect
Patchwork Templates-Set A and Set L.
Students will receive a Club Notebook to
keep monthly patterns and handouts organized.
Each month, club members will also receive a
sampling of fabric for block piecing, with two
variations from which to choose: contemporary
(shown above) or batik (TBA). Opportunities
to individualize quilts are presented when club
members provide their own fabric for block backgrounds,
sashings and borders. Quilt finishes at
approximately 94" square.

cabin block (built around a great
feature fabric) with half-square triangles
added in opposite corners to create
diagonal movement across the quilt. This quilt looks

Who doesn’t love a mystery
quilt project? Lawry has a
mystery project that will keep
you guessing! After each meeting you will
go away with sewing tasks, then come back the
following month for the next clue. In the final session,
Lawry will “unveil” the finished quilt and you
get to share your creative quilt with its own unique
touches.
*If you live out of town, or can’t get to our monthly
classes, you can still participate using mail order. Just
let us know, so Lawry can mail the instructions to you
each month.

Fabric Painting

Knitting a Sock on Two Circular

Learn to knit a basic sock on two circular needles.
In the first lesson, students will cast on, create the ribbing
for the top of the sock and start to knit the basic
body of the sock. During the second lesson, focus will
be on creating a gusseted heel and completing the

with a simple “star toe.”

Participants will create an
abstract design while improving
their machine embroidery
and appliqué skills. The class
begins with a segment on
design principles and advice
on how to choose stunning
and effective color combinations.
Breaking up the background into many smaller
segments, students move on to decorate the surface
of each one with a myriad of shapes, providing extra
detail with machine embroidery. Towards the end
of the class, instruction is given for ‘easy to master’ construction techniques and quilting designs will be
discussed. Based on the skills used to create “Kimberley
Mystique,” the wall hangings produced in this workshop
will definitely be ‘one of a kind.’

Supplies (BSS)?
BSS includes sewing machine in good working
order, rotary cutter, cutting mat, ruler, scissors, tape
measure, pencil, pins, and seam ripper.
Class Registration Policies and
Procedures
The following applies to all classes offered in
this Class Schedule:
What do I need for class?
Each class has a Supply List. There may be
additional class costs for special sewing supplies,
such as freezer paper for a piecing class, special
templates, or rulers, etc. Fabric requirements will
be listed. Some classes require preparation prior
to your first class, e.g., pre-cutting fabric, bringing
design ideas, etc. Once you register for your class
and receive your Supply List, you will receive a
15% discount on all required supplies. To receive
the discount, you must have your Supply List with
you when you make your purchase.
Registration Procedures
Pre-registration and payment are required.
Register during our Fall/Winter Preview Party
and receive a 10% discount on the fee.
You may register by phone (541-549-6061)
or at the store. You receive a 10% discount any
time you register on-line at www.stitchinpost.
com/classes.html (sorry, discount does not apply
to Clubs, Workshops, Retreats and/or Special
Events).
Class Cancellation Policy
You must cancel at least TEN (10) DAYS prior
to the class for a full refund. If the Stitchin’ Post
cancels a class, you may take a store credit or
request a refund.
Sometimes We Cancel a Class…
On occasion we will cancel a class due to
insufficient enrollment. We make that decision
ten (10) days before the scheduled class. We
recommend that you call to confirm that the class
has met its minimum enrollment and will go on
as scheduled. The safest bet is to do your class
purchases within ten (10) days of the class date. |
