Beach Camp (HABC)
(For campers entering grades 3-8)
Did you ever wonder what it was like to go around and do LA's coolest activities with your
friends? Is adventure your middle name? If you are entering 3rd to 8th grade, this is the place
for you. Each day has a different adventure planned for you and your counselors.
- Kick It on Beach Days - Go to some of the coolest beaches around. Swimming, boogie boarding, body surfing, beach volleyball, frisbee and football make beach days totally cool.
- Awesome Theme Parks - Experience Six Flags (TM) Magic Mountain and Hurricane Harbor with your friends (and counselors), as you speed down water slides and ride some of the coolest coasters in the country. Every theme park trip is an extended camp day.
- Sailing Days Rule - You and your friends will go sailing and kayaking. If you are entering 7th-8th grade, you can even try wind surfing too!
- Overnights are Cool!- Have Tumbleweed all to yourself for the night. Take a dip in the pool, have our world-famous, counselor cooked BBQ dinner, take a night hike, chill around the campfire with some s'mores, sleep under the stars and wake up to a scrumptious breakfast.
- Adventure Days Rock - We go just about anywhere on these days. Field trips are exciting, challenging& cool. Play laser tag, drive in a mini grand prix, and tackle a seven element Ropes Course. Still not enough… how about bowling, rock climbing, roller blading and miniature golf.
- Typical Schedule -
There are four Beach Club groups. Each group has a different schedule, though on some days, groups
may attend the same activities. Tumbleweed reserves the right to substitute or change activities as
necessary. Should your child wish to attend HABC and select less than 5 days for a particular week,
you must select at least one of your days to be a "Beach Day". The basic schedule for summer 2008 is posted. The Beach Days and Wednesday rotation are definite as of 3/1/08. The 2008 schedule listing the adventure trips will not be available until the end of May. Click on the link below to see the layout for this coming summer. Activites are always subject to change.
