The Stitchin' Post has a wide variety of original patterns available for you to choose from: Each standard Stitchin' Post pattern has easy-to-follow, complete instructions for one quilt or project, with a color photograph on the cover. Our 'Brown Bag' Patterns are simple, inexpensive patterns for lap size quilts--most are designed for use with fat quarter bundles. You can find them towards the bottom of this page.

(Please note that the majority of the patterns on this page are not eligible for free shipping on single patterns, however orders for a single pattern will be mailed out at a reduced rate.)

2013 Raffle Quilt Pattern

Designed by Jean Wells, the 2013 Raffle Quilt echoes the wonderful artwork of Dan Rickards in this year’s show poster. Our signature ‘fish’ block was designed by Stitchin’ Post employee Paige Vitek and has made an appearance in a number of our raffle quilts. The "land" and "fish" blocks are paper-pieced, the water blocks are strip-pieced without a paper foundation.

June Jaeger designed this beautiful fused Appliqué quilt as the centerpiece of this year's Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show raffle quilt. Full size newsprint patterns are included for appliqués.

Splash! Quilt Pattern
Finished size - 89" x 89"
The beautiful wedding ring quilt is made from a rainbow of fabrics, arranged so that the rings seem to change and deepen in color as your eyes move across the quilt. Half of the arcs are paper-pieced, and all the foundation papers are included (plus a couple of extras, just in case). The other arcs, the background pieces and the cornerstones are cut from templates, and patterns for these are also included, as well as instructions for a "facing finish," so you don't have to worry about using bias binding around the edges of this very curvy quilt!

2009 "Cascade" SOQS Raffle Quilt Pattern

A traditional Kaleidoscope block with a contemporary color scheme, inspired by the state flower, the Oregon Grape. Pattern includes directions, block placement schematics, templates for appliqué, and one master block pattern--foundation piecing papers are not included.

The 2007 Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show™ Raffle Quilt Pattern

New York Beauties in all of their majesty have been an inspirational quilt block for Valori Wells. This year's raffle quilt features paper-pieced versions of a modified New York Beauty blocks in a stunning contemporary arrangement. The strip pieced sashing ads movement and a hint of accent color. (Pattern papers for all blocks are included.)

Sisters Scape - 2006 Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show™ Raffle Quilt
Designed by Valori Wells.
Finished size 80" x 96." This quilt is done almost entirely with paper piecing. The design was inspired by the landscape around Sisters, Oregon. Pattern includes instructions and all paper piecing patterns. (Our version of the quilt is made from a large assortment of batiks, florals, marbles and other textural fabrics.)

(Correction: The small NYB blocks are incorrectly labeled as "B" in the paper-piecing section of the pattern - all of the small blocks should be labeled "C".)

Folk Art Cats Pattern Set
Due to popular demand, we have printed more copies of this whimsical cat quilt designed by John Simpkins for the Stitchin' Post. This was originally a block of the month, but now all twelve patterns are available in a single set.

All Tangled Up
Finished size 72" x 72"
Using a jelly roll make four large blocks with three square rings in each. Each ring is a different fabric and the 13th square ring holds them all together in the center. Add scrappy borders with a twist in each corner. These are made from the jelly roll strips also.

(Finished size 26" x 26" for each of the pillows.) Make on or both of these flannel floor pillows from this pattern. A 26" x 26" pillow form nicely fills these big floor type pillows. The back is finished so you can easily insert the pillow and remove it.
