What is MODERN quilting?
“Modern” seems to be the new buzz word in
quilting these days.
But what does it mean to

Weeks Ringe of American
Quilt Retailer Magazine recently shared a few
about what it means to be MODERN:
Modern quilts are original and do not come
from patterns or techniques of traditional quilt
designs. Modern fabric combinations are more eclectic
rather than using fabrics from one particular
line. Also, solid fabrics are very favorable.
Modern quilting is about creativity and
The modern quilter is not necessarily young!

A Friendly Reminder For A Healthy Classroom
If you have a cold, flu symptoms, or a lingering cough, please be considerate of fellow classmates and the
instructor by staying home and taking care of yourself. Call the store in advance to let us know you are not feeling
well, and we will do what we can to accommodate your illness.
Along the same lines, we have many students who are sensitive to perfumes and scented lotions; please avoid
wearing such products to class.
