2014 Raffle Quilt - "Starlight in Sisters"
80” x 88”

Blocks by East of the Cascade Quilters, Assembled and Quilted by Laura Simmons.

"Starlight in Sisters" was conceived and designed by Jean Wells and pieced by the East of the Cascades Quilters. Laura Simmons, featured in our 2014 Machine Quilter Showcase, did the assembly and quilting. Jean Wells drew inspiration for our raffle quilt from the national exhibit, Quilted in Honor, which will be in Sisters for our 2014 Quilt Show. Quilted In Honor, led by Island Batik, is a fund raising initiative for "Operation Homefront," one of the top military fund raising organizations, and is intended to harness the collective power of the quilting industry to give back to the ones that need it most. A pattern for Starlight in Sisters and a kit will be available from the Stitchin' Post as of March 1st.

Proceeds from our annual raffle quilt are shared between Sisters Outdoor Quilt Show™ and Kiwanis of Sisters–helping to raise more than $5,500 to support Kiwanis programs, including the local Food Bank.

The winning ticket will be drawn at 4:00 pm
on Saturday, July 12th (Quilt Show day), on the lawn behind the Stitchin' Post.
Winner need not be present to win the quilt.

Congratulations to winner Bailey M. of Whitefish, MT!
