Designed by Jean Wells, the 2013 Raffle Quilt echoes the wonderful artwork of Dan Rickards in this year’s show poster. Our signature ‘fish’ block was designed by Stitchin’ Post employee Paige Vitek and has made an appearance in a number of our raffle quilts. The "land" and "fish" blocks are paper-pieced, the water blocks are strip-pieced without a paper foundation.

This beautiful wedding ring quilt is made from a rainbow of fabrics, arranged so that the rings seem to change and deepen in color
as your eyes move across the quilt. Half of the arcs are paper-pieced (foundation papers are included), while the remaining arcs, the background pieces and the cornerstones are cut from templates. Patterns for these are also included, as well as instructions for a "facing finish," so you don't have to worry about using bias binding around the edges of this very curvy quilt! |

This year's raffle quilt features paper-pieced versions of a modified New York Beauty blocks in a stunning contemporary arrangement. The strip pieced sashing ads movement and a hint of accent color. (Pattern papers for all blocks are included.)
